PM reconstitutes Central Selection Board
It is expected that about 1,000 officers will be promoted in the meeting
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reconstituted the Central Selection Board (CSB) under the chairman of Federal Public Service Commission, Lt Gen (R) Akhtar Nawaz Satti. The four-day CSB meeting will begin from December 23.
Three members of parliament, Senator Sadia Abbasi, Senator Saleem Mandviwala and MNA Javed Hanif Khan, have been made members. Four bureaucrats have been appointed as members. Secretary Finance Division Imdadullah Bosal from Punjab, retired Grade 22 officer Rabia Javeria Agha from Sindh, Secretary Maritime Affairs Division Syed Zafar Ali Shah from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and retired Grade 22 officer Ghiyasuddin from Balochistan have been nominated.
The officers to be nominated by rank include Secretary Establishment Division Inamullah Khan Dharejo, Secretary Cabinet Division Kamran Ali Afzal and the four provincial chief secretaries.
In the cases of promotion of police officers, the IG Police of all the provinces and the federal secretary home will also attend the meeting. The secretaries of the ministry whose promotion case will be attended will be present.
DGIB and DG ISI will attend the cases of promotion of officers of their institutions. The meeting of the Central Selection Board will be held under chairman FPSC on 23, 24, 26 and 27 December in the Committee Room of the Establishment Division. In the meeting, one cadre officers will be promoted to Grades-20 and 21 in addition to all service groups. It is expected that about 1,000 officers will be promoted in the meeting.
