Water supply set to resume after KWSC pipeline repair
The chief executive officer (CEO) of the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), Engineer Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Engineer Asadullah Khan visited the site of an 84-inch-diameter water pipeline repair on University Road on Wednesday.
Accompanied by Chief Engineer Water Trunk Main (WTM) Zafar Palijo and other officials, the KWSC leadership inspected the ongoing repair work. The officials commended the WTM team for their round-the-clock efforts to fix the water main.
The WTM chief engineer briefed the delegation, assuring them that the repair work would be completed by late evening. Following the completion of repairs, the supply from the Dhabeji Pumping Station would resume, and the city's water supply was expected to be fully restored by Wednesday’s afternoon. The inspection underscored the KWSC’s commitment to swiftly addressing critical water infrastructure issues.
