ISLAMABAD: An accountability court has transferred the Toshakhana vehicles reference against Nawaz Sharif, Asif Ali Zardari, Yousaf Raza Gilani, and others to the FIA Special Court Central (SCC).
Judge Abida Sajad announced the reserved verdict, granting the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) request to shift the case to the FIA court. However, the court dismissed the defendants’ appeal to keep the case under NAB’s jurisdiction.
The case involves alleged irregularities in political figures’ acquiring luxury vehicles through the Toshakhana (state repository).
Further proceedings will now continue under the jurisdiction of the FIA Special Court Central.
