LAHORE: PPP senior leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that one political party is in trouble and seeking dialogue with en tities that cannot be engaged. He emphasised that political parties always negotiate with other political entities. Speaking at a press conference at the residence of Aziz Malik, the vice-president of PPP Lahore and brother of Usman Malik,Kaira addressed the challenges in the current political landscape. He acknowledged that politics has become increasingly difficult but said that overcoming chal lenges is the essence of political work.Kaira said that Pakistan is currently facing a crisis, and while some aspects are im proving, the sheer scale of the issues makes theirresolution a daunting task. He highlighted that the PPP, despite not being part of the government, supported it to curb division and ha tred. Kaira praised PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for steering the government through tough times and expressed optimism thatthe country’s problems would be resolved grad ually. Criticising the PTI, he said the party, despite its revolu tionary slogans, now seems directionless, creating turmoil that leads to one step forward and one step back. He denied making new demands of the government, clarifying that the PPP’s concerns are often misinterpreted as withdrawal of sup port. He
explained that while some points of the PPP’s agree ment with the government have been implemented, others re main pending. He urged full implementation of the agreement to reduce political bitterness.
