CDA board decides to restructure enforcement wing

Islamabad:The board meeting of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Tuesday decided to re-organisation and restructuring of the enforcement wing of authority.

The 17th board meeting which was presided over by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, noted that there was need to enhance efficiency and capability of the enforcement. A committee comprising Member Finance, Member Administration and Member Technology will come up with recommendations for restructuring of the enforcement wing in the next meeting. It was also decided to further organise the security directorate to ensure discipline in the authority. The recommendations in this connection will also be considered at board’s next meeting.

The board meeting also okayed extension in agreement between the CDA and the National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) for e-balloting. The board members also discussed laws pertaining to installation of electric vehicle charging points at existing and new fuel stations. All the stakeholders will also be consulted in this connection. It also observed that federal government’s laws should be followed while implementing installation of electric vehicle charging points.

The CDA chairman also directed the officials concerned to start working on converting CDA’s transport fleet to electric vehicles. The board meeting also decided that the government institutions would be allotted plots in sector I-17. The meeting also allowed acquiring services of consultant for project of signal-free Khyaban-e-Iqbal under Section 42 (f) of Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA). This Section allows direct contracting with state owned entities.
