LAHORE:Police have apprehended a dangerous fugitive, Sanaullah, who had been on the run for three years. The accused, wanted in a robbery case by Rajanpur police, was arrested in Saudi Arabia after the police coordinated with international authorities.
The arrest followed the issuance of a red notice by Interpol, with the cooperation of Saudi Arabian police. Sanaullah was transferred to the custody of Rajanpur police after his capture. IGP Punjab Dr Usman Anwar emphasised that legal proceedings will be completed promptly, ensuring the convict receives appropriate punishment. He directed FIA and Interpol to continue their efforts in bringing other dangerous fugitives back to Pakistan.
Three robbers held
Organised Crime Unit (OCU) of the City Kotwali police Monday arrested a three-member gang of robbers. The police arrested accused Nauman alias Zulfiqar, Fayaz, and Haider and recovered cash, mobile phones, motorcycles, and illegal firearms from them. Meanwhile, Data Darbar police Monday arrested two robbers who used to mug people with knives. The police recovered two knives, four mobile phones, and a bunch of master keys from their possession.
