SUKKUR: Khairpur Police killed a notorious criminal carrying head money of Rs 5 million in an encounter, while one police constable was injured during the operation.
The deceased, identified as Sain Dino Narejo, was allegedly involved in 64 criminal cases, including murder, kidnapping for ransom, and highway robberies.
According to SSP Khairpur, Touheed Rehman Memon the police received intelligence regarding the presence of a gang of dacoits in the Faiz Muhammad Bhindo area. As the police cordoned off the area, the dacoits attacked the police. In the ensuing exchange of gunfire, constable Saddam Hussain was injured, and Narejo, a most-wanted criminal, was killed.
In another action, SSP Khairpur Touheed-Ur-Rehman Memon said two hostages, Abdul Latif Maitlo and Barkat Ali Maitlo were recovered during an encounter in Katcha of Baradi Jatoi police station,
