Tevta, Tang Int’l China ink MoU on promoting tech education

LAHORE:A high-level delegation from Tang International China, led by its President Li Jin Song, visited the Tevta Secretariat on Friday.

During the visit, an MoU was signed between Tang International China and Tevta to provide high-quality digital content for the technical education sector in Pakistan. According to a press release, the MoU was signed by President of Tang International China and Tevta Chairman Brig (retd) Sajid Khokhar.

Tevta chairman on this occasion stated that under the Dual Diploma Programme, students are completing their third year in China with the cooperation of Tang China. He expressed his desire to expand this programme, increase the number of students and extend it to more sectors.

Li Jin Song assured that Tang China will cooperate with Tevta to upgrade the programme and provide enterprise training to students as part of their diploma. The delegation also visited the Government Technical Training Institute, Gulberg, where they were shown Tevta's first state-of-the-art Hospitality Lab.

Tevta chairman requested Tang China to cooperate in establishing similar labs in 50 more institutions upon which Li Jin Song expressed his willingness to cooperate and assured that Tang China will work with Tevta in the hospitality sector.

The delegation also visited the Luban Workshop, established with Chinese cooperation, and promised to upgrade it to meet modern demands. They also visited the Blue Pottery Display Centre and praised the handmade products created by Tevta students. Tang China expressed its willingness to cooperate with Tevta in the blue pottery sector as well.
