Ghani hopes to see huge number of Karachiites at PPP public meeting

Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani has said that an overwhelming number of Karachiites will attend the upcoming public meeting of the Pakistan Peoples Party at the Nishtar Park on November 30 to mark the 57th foundation day of the party.

He stated this on Monday while talking to PPP leaders and workers during his visit to the Nishtar Park to review the arrangements for the public meeting. The minister said the steps taken by the PPP’s continuing regime in Sindh for the development and progress of the city and the province were far greater in value and number than the performance of the past regimes.

He said the PPP at its upcoming foundation day event would reiterate its firm resolve to accelerate its drive to serve the people of Sindh in the best possible manner in the days to come. Ghani, who is also the PPP Karachi Division president, said the people of Sindh had complete trust in the party. Owing to the overwhelming confidence shown by the people of Sindh, not just the provincial government but every mayor in cities of the province, including Karachi, belongs to the PPP, he added.

He mentioned that PPP candidates in the last local government by-elections, general elections, and municipal polls in Karachi had won a greater number of votes from every National Assembly, Sindh Assembly, and municipal constituency.

The local government minister said the PPP had the fullest determination to resolve the public issues in Karachi and the rest of the province. He also reviewed arrangements for the public meeting, including setting up the stage, women's enclosure, and media corner at the venue.

Also present on the occasion were Sindh PPP General Secretary Waqar Mehdi, Karachi PPP Division General Secretary Jawed Nagori, Najmi Alam, Iqbal Sandh, Sardar Khan, Riaz Baloch, and other leaders of the party.
