KARACHI: Invincibles defeated the Conquerors by six wickets in the National Women’s One-Day Tournament at at the UBL Sports Complex.
After winning the toss, the Invincibles invited the Conquerorazs to bat first. The Conquerors’ team was bowled out for 116 runs in 44.1 overs, with Ghulam Fatima taking five wickets for the Invincibles. The Invincibles chased down the target in 25.1 overs, losing four wickets. Muneeba Ali scored 38 runs, while Ayesha Zafar contributed 34 runs. Ghulam Fatima was named Player of the Match for her five-wicket haul.
In another match at the HPC Oval Ground, the Strikers defeated the Challengers by 23 runs. The Strikers opted to bat first after winning the toss and posted a total of 226 runs. Iman Fatima played a stellar innings, scoring 141 runs. For the Challengers, Zaibun Nisa and Maham Manzoor took three wickets each. In response, the Challengers fell short of the target and were all out for 203 runs in 44.2 overs, with Aliya Riaz scoring an unbeaten 107 runs. Anam Amin and Muqaddas Bukhari took four wickets each for the Strikers.
