Name dropping
In recent times, it has become increasingly common for individuals to exploit the names of reputable agencies and institutions in correspondence aimed at soliciting bribes from honourable and respectable members of society. This practice is not only unethical but also deeply offensive. It tarnishes the reputation of the institutions involved and erodes public trust in agencies that are meant to uphold justice and integrity. When individuals misuse institutional names, they not only harm those they target but also set a dangerous precedent that encourages corruption rather than combatting it.
It is crucial for those in positions of power to take a stand against this misuse. Stronger regulations and oversight should be implemented to protect the integrity of our institutions and to hold accountable those who engage in such practices. Public awareness campaigns could also be initiated to educate citizens about recognising and reporting such misuse.
