IBA Sukkur suggests holding MDCAT on December 1
The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Sukkur, has made the suggestion to the Sindh Health Department that the Medical & Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) be held on December 1.
Preparations have started, and experts have been hired to create a database of questions. Through the provincial advocate general, the health department has submitted a report to the Sindh High Court regarding the details of the agreement with the IBA Sukkur and the extension of the deadline to hold the test.
The Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PMDC) has nominated its Controller of Examinations Imdad Khushak as the focal person for the MDCAT, and the health department has nominated its Deputy Health Secretary Zohaib Hasan Sheikh.
The IBA Sukkur has also written to the PMDC, asking them to provide four options instead of five in the MCQs (multiple choice questions) in accordance with the prevailing procedure. In the MDCAT held under the Dow University of Health Sciences and in other provinces, the candidates had been provided five options in the MCQs, while in the test held at the IBA Sukkur for various departments and institutions, the candidates are provided four options in the MCQs.
