MINGORA: The University of Swat, in collaboration with the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), inaugurated a four-week training programme here at main campus of the university on Monday for its faculty members.
The inaugural event was attended by guests, including Sulaiman Ahmad, Director, NAHE, Muhammad Saleem Qamar, Deputy Director, NAHE, Nasir Shah, Director, Regional HEC Peshawar, and Zeeahan Khattak, the resource person for the training.
Nasir Shah, Regional Director of HEC Peshawar, urged the faculty to work professionally for the betterment of society.Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Hassan Sher expressed gratitude to Noor Amna Malik, Managing Director, NAHE, for awarding the project to the University of Swat.
He emphasized the importance of faculty development in enhancing the quality of higher education.Training Coordinator, Professor Hazrat Bilal appreciated the encouragement and support from the HEC.
Organisers said the four-week training programme aimed to enhance teaching and learning skills, foster research and academic excellence, promote faculty development and mentorship and strengthen institutional capacity building.
