Islamabad : In a move to bolster security in the federal capital, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, held a high-level late-night meeting at the Central Police Office, directing the Dolphin and Ababeel Squads to intensify checks across the city.
The meeting, which focused on crime prevention and heightened security, was attended by top police officials, including DG Safe City Shakir Hussain Dawar, DIG Headquarters Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanveer, DIG Security Muhammad Javad Tariq, among others.
IGP Rizvi reviewed the city's overall crime and security status, stressing the need for stricter measures against criminal elements. He directed the squads to enhance security operations in key locations and increase their presence at Islamabad’s entry and exit points. He also called for the effective use of Safe City surveillance cameras for comprehensive monitoring.
IGP Rizvi emphasized that all officers should be actively present in their assigned areas, closely supervising the duties of their teams. During checks, officers are expected to inspect suspicious individuals, vehicles, and motorcycles, ensuring proper documentation and registration of their details.
IG Islamabad also warned of strict consequences for officers in areas where serious incidents occur due to negligence. He further encouraged senior officers to engage with their subordinates, addressing their concerns to maintain high morale and dedication to duty.
This initiative is part of Islamabad Police’s ongoing efforts to strengthen security and reduce crime, reinforcing public safety across the capital.
