I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the deplorable state of Polo Ground, Karachi, which I think falls under the jurisdiction of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC). Despite its potential as a valuable recreational space, the polo ground has been neglected for far too long. The ground is littered with trash, broken glass bottles, and overgrown vegetation, posing a serious risk to the safety of children and families who visit the park. The lack of proper maintenance has created an unsightly and unhealthy environment.
In an era where health and well-being are paramount, it is disheartening to see such a vital public space left in such a state of disrepair. The KMC must take immediate action to address these issues and restore the polo ground to its former glory. Regular trash collection, removal of broken glass, and proper landscaping should be implemented. Additionally, measures should be taken to prevent littering and vandalism.
