Six die in separate incidents
LAHORE:Six people died in four separate incidents here. Details reveal that two individuals, identified as Muqaddas and Shoaib (driver), were killed in a feud in the Batapur area, while a young girl named Maryam was also injured in the shooting. A case was registered against suspects Shahid Waheed, Ali Hassan, and two unidentified individuals. In the Bhati Gate area, a 21-year-old, Abdul Rahim, was shot dead over a financial dispute. Police filed a case against suspects Shehzad, Ahmed Ali, and one unidentified person. In another incident, a 15-year-old boy, Ali Hassan, died in a private factory in Kahna by inflating air into his abdomen. The suspect, Shahroz, was arrested and handed over to the Gender Crime Cell following the case’s registration on the father’s complaint.
Similarly, two individuals were killed in an attack on a private company’s vehicle in Raiwind. The DIG Operations’ spokesperson confirmed that cases were registered in each incident.
Boy traced, reunited with parents
Lorry Adda Police traced and reunited an eight-year-old boy, Shabbir, with his parents within two hours after he went missing from the Greater Iqbal Park. The family had come from Sialkot for a recreational visit.
34 outlaws arrested in one week
Lahore police arrested 34 individuals involved in different criminal activities in past one week here. In the Ghaziabad area, during a search operation, police arrested a drug dealer Zafar Iqbal and seized over 2kg hashish from him. Wahdat Colony Police arrested habitual drug dealer Waheed Ahmed, recovering 1.360kg hashish. The suspect was found supplying drugs in the area. Chuhng Police, during a snap check on Multan Road, arrested drug dealer Abdul Razzaq and confiscated hashish from his possession. In Manawan, police detained Samir for displaying weapons. A 244-bore rifle, magazine, and dozens of bullets were recovered from him. Sattu Katla Police arrested Umar Farooq for aerial firing and seized a 9mm pistol. Gujjarpura Police arrested three suspects, Fahad, Amir, and Ilyas, involved in kite-flying. Chemical-coated string, and spools were seized from them. Additionally, the Dolphin Squad arrested 26 members of nine robber gangs over the past week. Items recovered included 12 mobile phones, a motorcycle, and other stolen goods.
Child assault suspect held
A suspect involved in the assault of a child was arrested on Monday. According to details, an emergency call was received from the Muzaffargarh area on 15 helpline that locals had caught a suspect of the child assault and restrained him with ropes. The Virtual Centre for Child Safety informed police, who promptly arrived, took the suspect into custody, and registered a case against him.
