WAPDA win National Women’s Rugby

LAHORE: WAPDA won the fourth Women’s National Rugby Championship, sponsored by Service Tyres, by defeating Army 19-5 in the final here at the Pakistan Rugby Academy Ground on Sunday.
In the first half of the final, the score was tied 5-5 with WAPDA’s Ayesha scoring the first try in the fifth minute and Army’s Arabia leveling the score in the seventh minute. However, in the second half WAPDA’s team showcased excellent performance. Ayesha scored another try in the second minute of the second half, which was converted by Samira. Rozina then scored a try in the seventh minute, which was also converted by Samira.
