Secretary Schools Education Zahid Ali Abbasi, executive engineers, XENs, superintending engineers, and other officers attended the meeting. The provincial minister was briefed on various projects of education works. He was informed that currently, work is in progress on 598 development projects in the province, of which 125 schemes are in the final stages of completion, and 80 percent of the work on 153 projects has been completed, while work on other projects is ongoing.
Shah instructed that the required standards to protect buildings from environmental impacts should be adhered to. He emphasised the importance of following the necessary SOPs to safeguard ongoing projects from the effects of probable flooding.
He also mentioned that for schools with small plots, vertical designs should be implemented to preserve the ground space of the schools. Shah added that he will soon visit different districts of Sindh to review the education works projects and that actions will be taken against officers if performance does not improve.
