RPOs, DPOs directed to interact with staff

LAHORE:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar Monday directed the RPOs and DPOs to interact with their subordinate staff regularly and resolve their issues.

During a meeting with cops and their families at the Central Police Office, the IGP listened to their problems. The IGP directed the AIG Admin to provide relief to the son of late Constable Syed Maqbool Shah Gilani as a Junior Clerk.

The IGP forwarded the plea of medical assistance of retired Constable Syed Fayyaz Hussain to DIG Welfare, directed to DIG Welfare to handle the house construction issue of the mother of martyred Constable Akhtar Abbas, asked DPO Khanewal to handle request of Constable Muhammad Fazal Khan’s son for a job change from Sanitary Worker to Naib Qasid, directed DIG Welfare to extend help in terms of medical treatment request of Abdul Qayyum.

Meanwhile, reviewing the performance of the Punjab Highway Patrol, the IGP asked PHP teams of all districts to enhance field patrolling to prevent crime ratio. The IGP lauded the PHP force for their excellent performance and issued directives for sustained efforts and dedication in ensuring traffic flow, as well as serving and protecting citizens.

20th anniversary of Emergency Service

Emergency Service Department founder Dr Rizwan Naseer and its pioneer team members Monday cut a cake to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the service. The event was attended by officers and officials of Emergency Services Headquarters and Academy to mark the Punjab Emergency Service’s completion of two decades of services to humanity. On the occasion, Dr Rizwan said the Rescue-1122 was started from a scratch and now it has rescued over 15.9 million victims and become the leading emergency service of South Asia after United Nations INSARAG Certification.
