MINGORA: Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party (PNAP) on Sunday condemned the crackdown on party leaders and students, terming it a violation of constitutional and legal rights.
Addressing a press conference, Pakhtunkhwa National Awami Party leaders demanded the immediate release of detained party workers and students, terming the cases registered against them as false.
Mukhtiar Yousafzai, co-chairman of the party, criticised the government for suppressing democratic rights and using force against peaceful protesters. “Pashtuns have historically resolved issues through jirgas (tribal councils) and that denying them this right would have severe consequences,” he added.
