KP suffers due to PTI govt’s confrontational politics: Amir Muqam
SWABI: Urging the provincial government to work for development of the province, Federal Minister on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam on Wednesday said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had suffered a lot due to the confrontational politics of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI).
“The PTI has come into power for the third consecutive time but it has done nothing for the development of the province,” he told the journalists after a visit to the Swabi City Police Station which was raized to the ground due to an explosion a few days back.
“This is PTI’s third constitutional term in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. And they have done nothing for the welfare of the people and pushed the province deep into debt trap,” he added. The PMLN leader said that so far no such evidence had been found that the blast was a terrorist incident. “An investigation is on to determine the exact cause of the blast,” he said,
It was the responsibility of the provincial government to reconstruct the police station, he said, adding the federal government was ready to extend its support.Amir Muqam also visited the residence of a teenager who was martyred in the blast. He expressed sympathy with the bereaved families of the two martyred people. He also gave away Rs100,000 cash, each, to the heirs of the victims.
