Warehouse fire

A fire broke out at a warehouse in Hawkesbay on Tuesday, destroying batteries, solar panels and other goods in large quantities.

The warehouse housed solar panels, batteries and other flammable materials, making firefighting efforts particularly challenging. 

According to a spokesperson for Rescue 1122, water alone was insufficient to extinguish the blaze due to the nature of the materials involved.
