PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday disposed of the petition of former federal minister Murad Saeed after the federal and provincial governments submitted their replies on his petition seeking the details of the cases against him.
A two-member bench comprising Justice SM Attique Shah and Justice Sahibzada Asadullah heard the petition of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former MNA. The petition had been filed by the father of Murad Saeed in order to seek the details of the cases registered against his son.
Disposing of the petition, the bench directed the petitioner to move the Lahore, Sindh and Balochistan high courts to seek the details of the cases registered against him.Alam Khan Adenzai appeared for the petitioner while additional advocate general, deputy director (Legal) Federal Investigation Agency and a representative of the Interior Ministry appeared before the bench.
Alam Khan told the court that his client was a former federal minister whose father had filed the petition to seek the details of the cases registered against his son. The additional advocate general told the court that there was no case of the provincial government against Murad Saeed.
The deputy director FIA told the bench that there was no case of the agency against the former federal minister. The representative of the Interior Minister said that eight cases had been registered against the former federal minister in Islamabad.
