Pakistan reach SAFF U17 Championship semis

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan overwhelmed Sri Lanka 5-1 to qualify for the semi-finals of the South Asian Under-17 football underway in Bhutan.
Subhan Karim netted two goals for Pakistan with a goal each scored by Abdul Ghani and Talha. The fifth goal was an own-goal. Sri Lanka reduced the margin in the 76th minute.
Pakistan will play Bangladesh in the semi-finals while India to take on Nepal in the second pre-final to be played on September 28.
