In a brief statement, the PCB announced that the National Under-19 Three-Day Championship, which was to commence today, has been deferred until further notice. The PCB cited “unavoidable circumstances” as the reason for the postponement and stated that a revised schedule would be announced in due course.
“The National U19 Championship, due to start today and Cup, due to start on 14 September, have been postponed due to unavoidable circumstances. The new schedule of both the tournaments will be shared in due course,” the PCB statement said.
The announcement came at the conclusion of the first day’s play in the opening round of the three-day matches. Sources confirmed that today’s play across various venues will not be considered part of the official records. The tournament will resume after the issuance of a new schedule.
