Four uplift schemes worth Rs11bn approved

LAHORE: In the 26th meeting of the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) for CFY 2024-25, chaired by Planning and Development (P&D) Board Chairman Barrister Nabeel Ahmad Awan, four development schemes were approved, amounting to Rs11 billion.

The approved schemes include Chief Minister Initiative for Promotion of Renewable Energy Technologies at cost of Rs100 million, Chief Minister Skill Development Programme for Transgender at the cost of Rs860 million and construction of Cancer Centre Buildings at Nishtar Hospital, Multan, at cost of Rs940.479 million and Institute of Urology & Transplantation, Rawalpindi at cost of Rs9.484 billion.

The PDWP cleared a scheme titled Sewerage System from Larechs Colony to Gulshan-e-Ravi Lahore through Trenchless Technology for placing it before ECNEC for further approval.The meeting also saw the participation of Chief Economist Masoud Anwar, members of Planning and Development (P&D) Board and other senior officials who highlighted a collective commitment for advancing provincial development through strategic investment in various sectors.
