Fazl’s visit to UK was a great success: JUI-F
MARDAN: Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) general secretary Maulana Amjad Khan Lahori on Wednesday said that his party chief’s successful visit to United Kingdom would be another defeat for the Captain’s team.
Speaking at a conference here, Maulana Amjad Khan Lahori said that Imran Khan claimed that Maulana Fazlur Rehman visited United Kingdom to convince former president Asif Ali Zardari to support Nawaz Sharif.
“We are not protecting Nawaz Sharif but the parliament and democratic system in Pakistan,” he added. He said that his party had supported democratic system in the country when Imran Khan and his like-minded were hoping for the umpire to raise finger.
“Our support to the democratic system forced the Captain to accept a humiliating defeat,” he maintained.
Speaking on the occasion, JUI-F provincial president Maulana Gul Nasib Khan said US wanted to weaken Islam and was using its agents for this purpose. He criticised the PTI-led provincial government and said that the government failed to provide relief to the masses. He added more than 2500 schools were without teachers.
