QUETTA: A police officer was martyred in an armed attack at a police mobile in in Cheetkan area of Panjgur, late on Sunday.
Officials said that unknown motorcyclists opened indiscriminate fire on a police vehicle which was on round in Cheetkan Bazaar, a locality of Panjgur town.
“Sub-Inspector of Panjgur police received multiple bullet wounds and succumbed to his injuries on the spot,” a senior police officer said, adding that the driver and gun man remaind unhurt in the armed attack. The police officer was identified as Shakeel Ahmed, a resident of Cheetkan area of Panjgur.
The body was shifted to the hospital. Police termed the incident target killing. However, no one has claimed the responsibility of the armed attack so far.
