Gandapur urges people to join Islamabad rally
PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has called upon the people to join the PTI rally in Islamabad today (Sunday).
In a video message, Gandapur said the gathering was a critical step in
what he termed the pursuit of “real freedom” for the
nation.
The chief minister highlighted the current socio-political challenges,
referencing the recent economic and governance
issues.
“The regime change has led to a sharp decline in the economy, job losses, and the collapse of businesses. In comparison, during Imran Khan’s government, we saw a booming economy, job creation, and stability in the supply of electricity and gas,” he said.
“Those responsible for repeatedly looting the nation are once again in charge. The consequences are before everyone, and the country’s law and order situation is deteriorating rapidly compared to
the tenure of Imran Khan,” he said.
Gandapur also emphasized that the public must come together to oppose what he termed systemic injustice and corruption.
He condemned the repeated issuance of National Reconciliation Ordinances (NROs) to political figures, claiming that these decisions have further weakened the nation’s institutions.
“The time has come to make a stand. We must show future generations that we will not allow the country to be destroyed by these corrupt elements,” he added.
Ali Amin Gandapur urged the people to attend the jalsa, drawing comparisons to a general election held on February 8, when the people came out in strong support of Imran Khan.
“This jalsa will send a strong message to the world that we remain steadfast in our support for Imran Khan and that we demand justice for the wrongs inflicted upon the country,” he asserted.
