ISLAMABAD: The federal government has appointed Lt. Gen. Akhtar Nawaz Satti as the Chairman of Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC).
After being approved by the president on the advice of prime minister, the Establishment Division has issued an official notification for the appointment of Lt. Gen. Akhtar Nawaz Satti. According to the notification, Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz Satti has been appointed for a period of 3 years, which will be counted from the date of his retirement.
It should be remembered that the post of FPSC chairman, the main body for recruiting officers to run the administrative affairs of Government of Pakistan, has been laying vacant for the last one year.
Meanwhile, according to various other notifications issued by the Establishment Division, the period of posting of 8 officers of Pakistan Customs Service on deputation in Pakistan Single Window Company has been extended by one more year. Officer Naveed Abbas Memon and 7 domain officers Salman Afzal, Zaheer Abbas, Ammar Ahmed Mir, Adnan Rafiq, Asim Awan, Umair Mahmood Siddiqui and Hafiza Larib Ghaffar are included.
Furthermore, the transfer of Section Officer Imran Rashid from Religious Affairs Division to Power Division and the transfer of Section Officer Muhammad Zubair from Religious Affairs Division to the Federal Education Division has been cancelled.
While Section Officer Momal Shahab has been transferred from Finance Division to Economic Affairs Division and Bilal Maqbool of Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service Grade 18 posted in Sindh government has been extended for 2 years which will count from August 3, 2024. The Establishment Division has issued official notifications of all the orders.
