LAHORE:The CTO Lahore has decided to intensify a crackdown on motorcyclists, who ride their two-wheelers without licence and helmet.This campaign would be launched on The Mall, Canal Bank Road, Jail Road and all important highways.
Police have been directed to launch crackdown at Kahna, Nishtar, Raiwind Road and other suburban highways also. CTO Lahore Ammara Athar issued an order that drivers without a licence or without a helmet would be fined Rs2,000. ‘Nowhere in the City a motorcyclist should be seen without a helmet,’ she said. During this year, action was taken against more than 40,000 motorcyclists.
