Six booked for throwing acid on woman
BATTAGRAM: The police registered a case against a man and his five accomplices on the charges of cutting off the nose of his wife and throwing acid on her face in Thakot area in 2013 after the Peshawar High Court Abbottabad Registry took notice of the incident.
Babar, a resident of Thakot, along with his five accomplices had allegedly cut off the nose of his wife and threw acid on her face in 2013 over a domestic issue. The accused reportedly kept his wife at a secret place for four years to escape prosecution. The woman somehow managed to escape from the accused and approached the court of law to seek justice.
A judge of the Peshawar High Court Abbottabad Registry summoned the In-charge of the Changal Police Station and ordered him to register the case against the accused. The Changal Police Station registered the case against the accused, who secured bail before arrest.
