Neglected patients

Pakistan is full of problems and no steps are being taken to solve these issues. In fact, some of our major problems are not even considered to be real issues by many and are largely ignored. At least those issues are considered problems to be solved, but there is one major social issue that is not even considered an issue, which is mental issues. According to the WHO, more than 45.5 million people in Pakistan are suffering from anxiety, depression, and other mental disorders.

However, if we find anybody with mental health issues, we often taunt him/her or turn to unscientific explanations for their problem. The government should take this issue seriously, educate people about mental health, build up mental health facilities, and invest some money in this area.
