Women police resolve 72,322 cases in three months

LAHORE:The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has released the last three months’ performance report of the Virtual Women Police Station.
According to details, a total of 82,639 complaints were received from women across Punjab in this period. Out of these, 72,322 cases were resolved or closed due to reconciliation or other reasons. The investigation process is ongoing for 3,781 cases, and instructions have been given to expedite 355 cases. FIRs were registered for 6,536 cases, and challans were submitted for 1,212 cases. FIRs were registered for 1,795 domestic disputes and 811 harassment cases. Additionally, 543 FIRs were registered for rape, 121 for attempted murder, 12 for acid attacks, and 3,262 for other reasons.
