CCTV footage shows how two suspects committed year’s biggest robbery in city
CCTV footage of Karachi’s biggest robbery of the year surfaced, showing the robbers firing shots and fleeing after snatching around Rs20 million.
The suspects snatched around Rs20 million from a builder near the Railway Godown adjacent to the Stock Exchange on II Chundrigar Road on Thursday evening and shot his security guard when he resisted, leaving him injured.
In the video, it can be seen that the suspects fired shots when the security guard resisted, causing panic and chaos among the people present at the scene, who started running here and there.
Hamza, the builder, was with his security guard and had come to deposit the money in a bank. The suspects on a motorcycle snatched the amount from him and opened fire when his security guard resisted, injuring him. The guard has been identified as Gul Zameer.
Police stated Hamza had withdrawn the money from a bank near Nursery on Sharae Faisal and had arrived to deposit it at another bank when the suspects struck. Police said they were trying to trace the suspects with the help of CCTV footage.
