Three held for involvement in Hawala, Hundi
Rs3.09 million in cash, cheque books, and other documents were seized from the suspects
LAHORE: The Corporate Crime Circle of Lahore Zone has raided the Bara Market, arresting two suspects involved in Hawala and Hundi activities. The suspects have been identified as Muhammad Usman and Muhammad Aftab.
According to the FIA Lahore spokesperson, Rs3.09 million in cash, cheque books, and other documents were seized from the suspects.
In another raid at Shah Alam Market, another suspect, Rizwan Arshad, was arrested in connection with a Hawala/Hundi case. The FIA Lahore spokesperson confirmed the recovery of Rs3 million in cash, receipts, and a mobile phone. Cases have been registered against the three suspects, and further investigation is on, said Sarfraz Khan Virk, Director FIA Lahore Zone. “Hawala/hundi offenders will not be shown any leniency,” he said.
