Friend’s killer held after two years

LAHORE:The Organised Crime Unit (OCU) Civil Lines Thursday arrested a man who had killed his friend in Gujarpura area two years ago.

Accused Sajid Afzal had murdered Zohaib over a monetary issue. Moreover, the police detained accused Sabtain who had escaped after killing a citizen in the Batapur police area. OCU Civil Lines also arrested four criminals, including proclaimed offenders (POs) who had committed a robbery in Qila Gujjar Singh police area. OCU City Kotwali arrested 16 members of four gangs of criminals.

Man, brother arrested for torturing wife

Police arrested a man and his brother for assaulting his wife in Millat Park police area. The victim’s sister informed the Virtual Women Police Station about the incident. Upon which a police team reached the spot, arrested the accused and his brother and dispatched the injured woman to hospital.

16 die in road accidents in Punjab

The Emergency Services Department (ESD) responded to 1,898 road traffic accidents in all districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours. In these accidents, 16 people died, whereas 2,126 were injured.
