‘New payment system of Bisp to facilitate women’
TAKHTBHAI: Benazir Income Support Programme Chairperson Rubina Khalid has said that a new system of payment of BISP stipend to deserving people through banks has been introduced to facilitate the beneficiaries.
During her visit to BISP centres in Takhtbhai, she said that services of six banks had been acquired so that human intervention minimised and the beneficiaries receive their full amount without any hassle.
Rubina Khalid inspected the facilities at various centres and met the women and listened to their complaints.
BISP Director General Zahid Aslam, provincial president of People’s Party (Women Wing) Shazia Tihmas and other party leaders also accompanied her.
PPP Mardan district president Asad Khan, Irfan Mohmand, provincial vice-president Shoaib Alam Khattak, Imran Khan Mohmand, Niaz Ali Yousafzai and other workers were also present.
Rubina Khalid said that the scope of BISP programme would be expanded as per the desire of President Asif Ali Zardari to facilitate the poor segment of society in a true sense.
