DPO visits checkpost

BANNU: The district police officer (DPO) here on Friday visited a checkpost of Huwaid Police Station at Kheraki area, which was attacked last night by suspected militants.
The suspected militants had attacked the checkpost at night, however, they fled the area when the cops returned the fire. DPO Ziauddin Ahmad lauded the cops for showing bravery and being alert while repulsing the attack. He said the alertness of the cops and quick response forced the attackers to retreat. A constable Ajmal Khan had sustained injuries in the attack.
