Three killed in firing, one drowns in DI Khan

DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Three people, including a woman, were killed in separate firing incidents, while a young engineer drowned while swimming at a picnic spot in the Daraban area here on Sunday.

Unidentified assailants opened fire in the Maqim Shah area in the jurisdiction of Sadar Police Station, killing 18-year-old Muhammad Zubair, son of Altaf Kanju. The deceased’s father filed a report, stating that they had no enmity with anyone.

In another incident, a report was filed at Dera Town Police Station by Kumar Khan Bettani, a resident of Kot Gulan in Tank district, and currently residing in Munawar Garden Koraie. He stated that his cousin, Tariq Shah, had eloped with Zahidana Bibi, a resident of Munawar Garden Koraie, two to three years ago and was living at his house in Munawar Garden Koraie. He said that after offering Asr prayers at a nearby mosque, he and his cousin Tariq Shah were leaving when they were confronted by several men who opened fire on Tariq Shah, killing him on the spot.In a third incident, a 24-year-old woman, Samira, was shot dead inside her house in the Dinpur area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Cantt Police Station.
