Dir Levies cop awarded for bravery
DIR: A Dir Levies man was awarded a cash prize for rescuing people stranded in a rickshaw caught in a flood stream at Panakot a day earlier.
According to a press release, Deputy Commissioner and Commandant Dir Levies Naveed Akbar awarded a cash prize to Shah Wali for his excellent performance in saving the lives of passengers and the rickshaw stuck in the flood.
Naveed Akbar appreciated the duty of Dir Levies personnel, boosted their morale, and directed them to perform their duties even better. He said that Dir Levies personnel were leading rescue operations in harsh weather conditions, floods, and other natural disasters in the Upper Dir district.
He praised the heroic actions of Shah Wali, who risked his life to save people and property during the flood. His bravery was recognised and rewarded by the deputy commissioner at his office on Friday.
