Scrolling through social media, it is clear that influencers have a huge impact on our lives, regularly promoting everything from clothes to gadgets. However, it is striking how few of them use their platforms to address social issues that affect so many of us. We live in a country where governments commonly ignore their responsibilities, leaving these critical topics neglected. But influencers, with their massive followings, can fill this gap. They can bring these issues into the public eye and start conversations that lead to real change. Some people might argue that influencers should stick to their usual content. But why should their influence be limited?
They have the unique ability to reach millions of people and inspire action. If more influencers use their voices for good, we could see momentous progress on many fronts. We cannot rely solely on the government to solve our problems. As individuals, particularly those with a platform, we have a duty to raise awareness and work towards positive change.
