The Quaidabad police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested the main suspect of the attack on the assistant commissioner of Ibrahim Hyderi, Malir, a day earlier.
AC Dr Saira Khan was attacked on Tuesday during a tree-planting event at Hospital Chowrangi, Landhi, Quaidabad. Police said that the main suspect, Muhammad Islam, was arrested in Rehri Goth, Muzaffarabad Colony, with a weapon.
On Tuesday the Quaidabad police had registered a case mentioning various charges, which included attacking the AC, damaging her vehicle and creating a disturbance. Five suspects had also been arrested at that time.
