None hurt as gunship helicopter fires at houses by mistake

NOWSHERA: Two houses were damaged partially as a military gunship helicopter mistakenly shelled civilian population in the Armoured Colony during training exercises in the Nowshera Army Range here Friday.
The police said the families in the two houses remained unhurt in the incident. They said that a unit of the Aviation Squadron Peshawar was carrying out training exercises in the Nowshera Army Range when the incident happened. They said the pilot of the gunship helicopter pressed the trigger mistakenly.
They said the bullets hit two houses in the vicinity, but nobody was harmed in the incident. An inquiry has been ordered into the incident.
