Garhi Qamardin people concerned over lawlessness
PESHAWAR: The Garhi Qamardin villagers during a public forum expressed concern over lawlessness and asked the government and police to take steps to improve the situation.
Member of the provincial assembly from the area Fazal Ilahi, former nazim Nazir Muhammad Khan, Wasif Ullah, Shabir Khan and other elders while speaking to the khuli katchehri said people were not feeling safe in the village as well as both sides of Ring Road for the last couple of years. The MPA assured he would take up the issue with the relevant officials.
The participants told the MPA and the police officers of the area who were present on the occasion that a number of people were robbed and their cell phones and cash were snatched in area from Ring Road bridge and Kohat Road till Inam pul. Also, there were a number of incidents of thefts from houses as well as motorbike lifting incidents.
