Dissolution trap
By News Desk

This letter refers to the news report ‘Gohar rejects Fazl claim PTI ready to quit assemblies’ (July 21, 2024). The report claims that the JUI-F leader said that the PTI had agreed to step down from and dissolve the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) legislature to force the government into elections. I would implore the PTI not to fall for this trap.
Last time the party quit three assemblies and nothing significant or material happened in favour of the party. I would advise the PTI to shun its divisive and aggressive politicking and instead focus on strengthening its role and performance in the assemblies, with an eye on the future.
