Man drowns in Shangla while saving son

ALPURI: A man drowned in the Indus River when the rope of a chairlift snapped in the Chanri Shang area in Bisham tehsil in Shangla district on Tuesday.
The residents said that a boy got stranded in a chairlift in the middle of the Indus River in the Chanri Shang area due to some fault. They said that people gathered to find out some way to rescue the boy safely.
In the meantime, Aziz Khan, father of the stranded boy, could not bear the pain and panic of his son and started to reach the stuck-up chairlift. When he reached the chairlift, the rope snapped and he fell in the river and was swept away by the gushing water.
