Haleem demands case against Imran be quashed
Reacting to the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi in the Toshakhana case after they were acquitted by a court in the Iddat marriage case, Sindh PTI President Haleem Adil Sheikh on Sunday said the rulers were playing with fire as they were repeatedly ensuring detention of the PTI founder in fake cases.
Sheikh said the PTI founder and his wife should have been released after they were acquitted in the Iddat marriage case but another conspiracy was hatched up and the two were arrested again in a fake case.
The Sindh PTI chief remarked that those who were involved in the theft of billions of rupees had made a fake case of theft of a watch against the PTI founder. He demanded that the fresh case against Khan be quashed. He said the nation’s anger had been aggravating due to continuous detention of the PTI founder. Sheikh said the PTI would launch a massive campaign for the release of Khan after Ashura.
