Traffic plan for 7th Muharram processions
Rawalpindi : Following the instructions of Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Taimoor Khan, the City Traffic Police (CTP) Rawalpindi on Saturday has issued traffic plan to maintain the flow of traffic for 7th Muharram ul Harram processions.
The plan involves 199 officers and personnel, including 4 DSPs/Circle Incharges and 46 Traffic Wardens.
The main procession will start from Sadiqabad and pass through several key points including Nishtar Street, Transformer Chowk, Kurry Road, Chah Sultan Chowk, Chaklala Road, Glass Factory Chowk, Zafarul Haq Road, Leprosy Hospital, Murree Road, Committee Chowk, and Iqbal Road.
It will join other processions at Naya Mohalla Chowk and continue through Fawara Chowk, Raja Bazar, Dingi Khoi, Bansanwala Chowk, and Jamia Masjid Road, ending at Imambargah Qadmi.
The CTP Rawalpindi has made necessary arrangements to ensure public convenience and smooth traffic flow, preventing any untoward incidents until the procession passes Shaheen Chowk.
Nishtar Street to Shaheen Chowk on Kurry Road will be closed for all traffic, while Band Khanna Road and Murree Road will be open as alternate routes.
