The KWSC on Thursday announced the restoration of water supply across the city following repair works on various water lines and the reinstatement of power at the Hub Pumping Station.

A spokesperson for the KWSC stated that repair work on the affected 72-inch MS Line Number Five at Dhabeji Pumping Station and a water line at Pakistan Highway Lalu Khet Post Office had been successfully completed. Additionally, power had been restored at the Hub Pumping Station after a 34-hour outage.

Officials confirmed that collaborative efforts between the KWSC and K-Electric teams throughout the night resulted in the full restoration of power supply. Consequently, normal water supply operations had resumed from the Hub Pumping Station and its associated lines. The recent disruptions were caused by a sudden power breakdown affecting the 72-inch MS Line Number Five and a water line disruption during development work at Pakistan Highway Lalu Khet Post Office two days ago. Furthermore, an underground cable burst at the Hub Pumping Station had caused the station's power outage, leading to water supply issues in various parts of the city.
